Play 2 Learn Printables

Camping

Here is a fun summer time unit for your students! Encourage your daycare, preschool or kindergartener to enjoy the outdoors!

Camping calendar numbers and headers

Use these pieces for your daily calendar routine! I have monthly headers for June, July and August. If you would like a different month, just send me an email!

Days of the week cards

Use these day of the week cards as part of your calendar! Images are of little blue and green tents!

camping number cards

Use marshmallows as counters! Put the correct number of marshmallows in the row beside the campfire! For extra fun, have your students eat the marshmallows at the end of the activity! If you don't want to use real marshmallows, use white beads or foam pieces instead!

camping graph and spinner

Use this spinner to play a graphing game! Print it on cardstock, and laminate. Then, use a pin to poke through the middle of the circle. Place a paperclip on a brad, and put the brad through the hole. Bend the clips from the brad and flick the spinner! If you land on a green tent, put a marker in the correct column on the graph!

sleeping bag sight word concentration

Print two copies of this activity. Turn the cards upside down and students flip to find matches! These high frequency words help encourage reading fluency!

camping picture concentration

Print two copies of this activity. Turn the cards upsdie down on the table and have students pick two cards at a time. If they are a match, students keep the cards! If they're not a match, lay them back down and try again!

campfire math mat

Pick a number out of a bag of number cards (or use a die). If you pick the number 3, put three marshmallows on the grid (one for each campfire!). Fill the graph to finish the game!

camping roll and build game

Print both the instruction sheet and the game pieces. Cut out the game pieces and then laminate. Use a die and have children build their creation! Make this into a fun game. Players take turns rolling the die once. If they roll a six, then they add the piece next to the six on the game instruction sheet. If they roll a six again, they miss that turn!

Camping math worksheet

Use this activity as a worksheet for your students to practice their adding skills. The second page has manipulatives for your students to cut and paste into the appropriate box. One sheet (page 2) should work for four students.

Welcome to my printables site! I will be adding new printables each week for you to enjoy! I hope that you find them useful. Please keep in mind that all graphics in my printables are drawn by me using Appleworks. They are original. You are welcome to use them to make copies for classroom use but do not copy my work directly in any message board or website or similar page on the internet. Feel free to post a link to my site on your own website if you would like to share this material with others! Thank you!
